Ben
Myers has been working as a freelance music journalist since his
teens and is the author of a number of books. Having grown up with Green
Day sound-tracking some of the most significant events in his life,
Myers is an archetypal fan who adds an element of personal memoir to
this most extraordinary of tales - including the death of a teenage
friend who introduced him to the band, and travelling the world in
pursuit of the trio for numerous magazines. He has interviewed
influential artists such as The Clash, Public Enemy, The Prodigy and
Marilyn Manson, survived moshpits and even nearly shooting Ozzy Osbourne
with his own gun. His work has appeared in publications such as Kerrang!,
Q, Time Out, Record Collector and numerous fanzines and websites. Ben Myers is the author of the acclaimed I.M.P. biographies Muse: Inside The Muscle Museum and John Lydon: The Sex Pistols, PiL & Anti-Celebrity. He has published a number of short stories and poems and his debut novel The Book Of Fuck was first published in 2004. He also runs a record label, Captains Of Industry. |
